Meet Our Doctors

Perry Stein M.D.

Dr. Stein received his M.D. degree from State University of New York in 1986. He completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York in 1990, and obtained board certification by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1991. He went on to complete a fellowship in Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine at The Neurology Group and obtained board certification in Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine in 1992.

Dr Stein established a successful Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation practice in Brooklyn, New York, and was named a top Doctor by New York magazine. Dr. Stein accepted the position of Director of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre, New York in 2002, where he continues to serve.

Dr. Stein has held many leadership positions on the medical staff of Mercy Medical Center, and also received his MBA from Adelphi University in 2013.

After years of caring for patients with serious illnesses, Dr. Stein developed a passion for Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and obtained board certification in this field in 2012.


Lauren Stimler-Levy M.D.

Dr. Stimler-Levy graduated from S.U.N.Y at Stony Brook Medical School in 1986. She completed 3 years of General Surgery residency program followed by 3 years training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center. She is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is well versed in treating patients with neurologic, orthopedic, traumatic and medical impairments. She has worked in an outpatient physiatric setting for almost 20 years.

She has treated a multitude of patients with acute and chronic pain issues related to car accidents, work-related injuries, as well as medical conditions. At Parkway Pain Care and Rehabilitation, P.C., she is involved in performing hospital and nursing facility physiatric consults as well as managing patients in the acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at Mercy Medical Center.


Jeffrey Kornreich M.D.

Dr. Kornreich is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabiltation. Dr. Kornreich received his MD degree from SUNY – Brooklyn. He completed his residency training at NYU Medical Center – Rusk Institute. He is fellowship trained in Sports/Spine Rehabilitation. Dr. Kornreich has an academic appointment at NYU Medical Center and has hospital affiliations at Mercy Medical Center and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

He has expertise in outpatient and inpatient care, including treatment of orthopedic and neurologic injuries, pain management, injection treatment, inpatient rehabilitation hospital care and consultations.


Fidel Rodriguez M.D.

Fidel Rodríguez is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation having completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He is a graduate of the SUNY Upstate Medical Center at Syracuse receiving his medical degree in 1985. Dr. Rodriguez has worked for the Employee Benefits Fund of the New York Hotel Trades Council and Hotel Association of New York City Inc. for over ten years. He provides nursing home physiatric consultations for Parkway Pain Care and Rehabilitation, PC.
